In 2003 Terry Young saw the opportunity to serve the needs of the some of Canada’s leading providers of screw piles and 1138357 Alberta Ltd. (operating as Young Contracting) was formed. Like most entrepreneurs it all began with one welding truck and due to our commitment to the quality of service and workmanship the company has experienced a steady planned growth to work with world recognized companies in many industries such as Oil & Gas, Power Transmission and Distribution, Agriculture, Commercial and Industrial construction, Municipal and Residential projects and custom fabrication.
With over twenty five years of welding experience and a philosophy of only hiring the best welders available the company has progressed to ten welding trucks to service the field welding requirements of our valued customers. Main operation facilities are located 10km South Ponoka, Alberta, and a shop in Martensville, Saskatchewan, with a fabrication shop, administration support personnel, and mobile welding trucks.
